Compliance failures in Cyprus companies are rarely caused by a single missed rule. They are usually caused by sequencing: records completed too late for the audit, an audit finished too late for the tax computation, and corporate filings left until the deadline.
Bookkeeping is the foundation. Where the ledger is maintained monthly and reconciled to the bank, everything downstream becomes routine. Where it is reconstructed once a year, every other obligation is compressed into the same few weeks.
Indirect tax and payroll run on their own periodic cycles and do not wait for year end. They should be treated as operational processes with owners and reminders, not as accounting tasks.
The statutory audit, the tax computation and the corporate filings then follow in sequence. Planning the audit early — agreeing the timetable and the information request before the year closes — is the single most effective way to keep the rest on time.
Specific filing dates and rates change. Before relying on any timetable, confirm the current deadlines applicable to your company with us or with the relevant authority.
